Help You With Self-Esteem/Confidence

Self-esteem is the opinion we have of ourselves.

When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves and about life in general, and it makes us better able to deal with life. However when our self-esteem is low, we tend to see ourselves and our life in a more negative and critical light. We also feel less able to take on the challenges that life throws at us.

Low self-esteem often begins in childhood. Our teachers, friends, siblings, parents, and even the media all have an impact on how we see ourselves. Often the message that you are not good enough is the one that stays with you. Perhaps you found it difficult to live up to other people’s expectations of you, or to your own expectations. Stressful life events such as a relationship breakdown, financial troubles, issues with work etc. may also have an impact.

You may find yourself saying negative things and being critical about yourself.

  • You focus on your negatives and ignoring your achievements.
  • You blame yourself when things go wrong.
  • You think other people are better than you.

Sometimes as women go through the menopause the fluctuations in hormones can lead to issues with both self-esteem and overall confidence, I know this was a problem for me. Although you may be aware of this, it may be you are finding it difficult to get back to where you want to be again.

Personally my self-esteem and confidence seemed to just disappear as I started to go through the menopause, and I had to work hard on myself using the tools and techniques I know, to get back to where I wanted to be. 

As our self-esteem/confidence  impacts so many areas of our life, it’s vital that we are confident in our day to day life and interactions with others. This is one of the reasons why I work with you to help improve your self-esteem and confidence, as it literally can help change many things.

In this programme I work with you over the course of 3 sessions (an initial 90 minute session and then two 60 minute one-to-one private sessions). We work to identify some of the root causes of your issues, and then I use a combination of techniques to help you. I also provide some simple practical techniques you can use every day which have helped me.

Our sessions can be recorded, allowing you to revisit the learnings at any time.
