About Me

I am the go to menopause mentor for men and women.

The menopause will be a totally unique experience for everyone, and this is one of the reasons why it is so difficult. No two women will experience the same symptoms, either physical or psychological, and some women may not experience any symptoms at all (which is great!)

Personally I have found going through the menopause much harder than I imagined both physically and mentally.  I have struggled to find people, even close friends, who wanted to talk about the menopause and offer support, during what has been a sometimes difficult transition. I also realised it was something I knew very little about. This led me to do lots of research on the subject, and I was shocked at how little I had known about the menopause before it actually happened to me.

At this time I started to use many of the Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) techniques I know, and these have been key in helping me through this time.  I realised I could help other women (and now men as well), who find themselves struggling with psychological symptoms,  which may include stress and/or lacking in self-esteem/ confidence (or both).  I also use hypnotherapy for those wanting to lose weight or stop smoking.

During my own personal experience of the menopause I experienced significant benefits by using hypnotherapy and NLP,  and this led me to set up my own coaching business.  I am now passionate about helping other women with their menopause to help make it a positive transition for them.  I also don’t want things to be the same when my two daughters reach their menopause.

One of my aims is to help educate and inform women (and men) about the menopause and how it may affect them during this period of their lives.  To do this I do three different things.  I do one to one consultations to help individuals with specific issues, I also work with businesses to help introduce/maintain menopause policies, and do regular one day Menopause Retreat Days.

Despite having a diverse background I have always been very interested in the mind/body connection, and recognised early on that a healthy mind is key in having a healthy body.  I trained as a massage therapist a number of years ago.  Whilst doing this I quickly realised how interesting and complex the body/mind connection is, and how important relaxation and stress management are to keeping ourselves healthy.  I went on to train as a qualified practitioner in Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and I am a Reiki Master along with a number of other holistic therapies.  My own personal self-development journey had begun.  I keep learning and developing my skills, and my fascination with how our minds and bodies work together continues.

In my free time you will find me doing yoga, fitness classes, working out at the gym, meditation (I try to do this daily), walking, or just enjoying the company of family and friends. I also travel as much as possible. This is something I started many years ago and which I still love to do, as there is always somewhere new to explore.
